The International Conference on Phototherapy and Therapeutic Photography was held in Finland, in Turku 16-18 June and the pre-conference workshops in Seili Island on 12-15 June. There were around 200 participants from over 20 countries. The Conference was the first international phototherapy conference in Europe and the third in the world after the International Symposium that was held in Toronto in 1984.
In addition to the conference programme, an essential part of the conference, were the photo exhibitions displayed in several galleries in Turku during the conference days.
The conference was aimed at people who work in or are interested in phototherapy and therapeutic photography. We wanted to give to the participants an opportunity to share the latest knowledge and ideas among “therapy & photos”. The conference was a success and provided, without a doubt, new ideas and useful contacts for all participants.
